Journeyman Electrician

Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, industrial, and renovation settings using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
• Test electrical circuits with tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
• Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high voltage equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on construction sites.
• Conduct inspections of electrical systems during various project phases to ensure compliance with NEC standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, inspection logs, and as-built drawings.

Skills

• Extensive experience working as a residential, industrial or commercial electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
