Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
• Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions.
• Execute high-voltage and low-voltage wiring tasks safely on construction sites or renovation projects while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete wiring, conduit bending, panel installations, and system upgrades efficiently.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical systems to support automation processes in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately while coordinating with other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors during construction or renovation projects.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and parts used for project documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and code compliance.
• Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, and complex schematics.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), NFPA 70 standards (National Fire Protection Association), NEC (National Electrical Code), and NFPA 70 compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical drawings for accurate installation and repairs.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing equipment like ohmmeters; and specialized high-voltage testing devices.
• Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining safety protocols.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures combined with practical experience in renovation projects or new construction environments.
• Additional handyman skills or frame carpentry experience are considered a plus for versatile project support.
