Big Ant Electrical

is a licensed commercial electrical contractor (TECL 37731) based in the greater Houston area. We work on large-scale commercial new construction and specialty projects — self-storage facilities, government infrastructure, lift stations, and more. We do the work right the first time, and we take care of our people. We are currently expanding and looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician who can execute commercial electrical work at a high level and take ownership of their scope every day.

This is not a babysitting role. You will be paired with an apprentice and expected to lead your pair, hit production, and communicate clearly. If you need someone to hold your hand on a job site, this is not the right fit.

## What You Will Be Doing

You will be in the field executing commercial electrical work alongside your apprentice. Specifically:

- Install conduit systems (EMT, rigid, PVC) — bending, racking, and running

- Pull wire and terminate devices, panels, and equipment

- Read and work from commercial drawing sets — power plans, lighting plans, one-lines, and panel schedules

- Install panelboards, disconnects, lighting fixtures, and specialty devices

- Work on 480/277V and 208/120V distribution systems

- Coordinate with the General Foreman on daily tasks, scope, and production

- Mentor and direct your apprentice on safe, efficient work practices

- Complete daily reports and maintain a clean, safe job site
