Journeyman Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work, including experience in both residential and industrial settings. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and codes. This position requires a thorough understanding of electrical schematics, high and low voltage systems, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Responsibilities

• Installation: Installing new wiring, conduits, and raceways according to blueprints and electrical codes.
• Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshooting electrical issues, repairing wiring, and maintaining electrical systems.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics to plan and execute wiring installations.
• Code Compliance: Ensuring all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
• Safety: Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures when working with electrical systems.
• Testing: Testing electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Coordination: Collaborating with other trades and construction teams to ensure electrical installations are coordinated with other construction activities.
• Supervision: Supervising apprentices and other workers on the job site, if applicable.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Experience

• Proven experience as an electrician in both residential and industrial settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with high voltage systems as well as low voltage applications is highly desirable.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical work.
