Under a major Intelligence Community contract, IAP operates and maintains facilities, systems, and associated grounds across Virginia and Maryland. Services provided include comprehensive facility operations; project management for renovations, minor construction, and major equipment repairs; engineering, construction, and operations support; custodial and grounds maintenance services; environmental, safety, and occupational health support; food services; motorpool and logistics operations; and physical and technical security services.

As the High Voltage Electrician , you will support the installation, operation, and maintenance of mission-critical high-voltage electrical systems within a secure environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and continuous operation of electrical infrastructure that supports sensitive and classified operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-voltage electrical systems (typically 4,160V and above), including switchgear, transformers, breakers, relays, and power distribution networks
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mission-critical electrical infrastructure to ensure continuous, reliable operation
• Interpret and work from complex electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
• Conduct testing, inspections, and diagnostics of high-voltage equipment in accordance with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and applicable DoD/IC standards
• Support planned outages, emergency power events, and restoration efforts with minimal impact to operations
