SUMMARY

Under general supervision and in accordance with acceptable trade practices performs installation, repair, and replacement of electrical and electronic circuit control, motors, transformers, switchboards, and other equipment, and performs major and minor repairs and installations of all mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatically operated instruments and associated control components used in the plant, offices, and laboratories. Will works from blueprints, drawings, and sketches. Responsibilities & Duties

• Determine pipe, wire, and cable size requirements by calculating voltage, amperage, wattage, and resistance
• Diagnose motor and generator trouble and adjust, repairs, or replaces what’s needed
• Install and maintain public address systems and intercom systems
• Operate all testing equipment such as voltage testers, voltmeters, ammeters ohmmeters and wattmeter’s
• Clean and maintain all equipment such as oil and air circuit breakers, gang switches, busbars, cables, wiring, and insulators
• Maintain and repair electronic control circuits and equipment, photoelectric cell circuits and level controls
• Run wire, cable conduit, connect to power sources, install switch panels, junction boxes, and control panel
