Field Engineer - Inspection/Commissioning and Startup (Electrician License Required)

The Water & Engineering Technology department is seeking a Field Engineer - Inspection/Commissioning and Startup. This position performs project management and complex skilled technical work in scheduling, coordinating, strategizing, and facilitating activities associated with the commissioning and startup of advanced wastewater treatment facilities and remote pump stations on municipal construction projects. Performs electrical inspectionsto ensure compliance with contract document requirements, Clean Water Services (CWS) standards, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).

• Inspects capital construction for compliance with contract document requirements, CWS standards, and the NEC. Prepares punch list documenting construction deficiencies, reviews contractor change orders, reviews record drawings, and administers the warranty program for electrical equipment.
• Develops project commissioning and startup procedures and documentation requirements for functional Operational Readiness Testing (ORT-1) and performance Operational Readiness Testing (ORT-2), including training CWS staff on procedures.
