Facilities Equipment Technician I/II - Electrician

JOB *This recruitment will be used to fill one Electrician vacancy in the Facilities Management Department at either the Technician I or Technician II level. This recruitment will also be used to establish an eligible list to fill all possible future Electrician assignment vacancies at either level.*

Facilities Equipment Technician I - Electrician ($59,590.13 - $84,314.26)

A Facilities Equipment Technician I primarily performs skilled electrical work in City buildings. Employees perform a wide variety of skilled tasks in electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. Work assignments are varied and may be received verbally or in writing. When required, the employee exercises lead supervision over semiskilled and unskilled workers. This class performs other related duties as required.

Distinguishing Features

Employees in this class primarily perform mechanical equipment trades work and are licensed as and/or function as specialists (example: electricians, plumbers, etc.) in their respective mechanical trade. A high degree of competence in one or more of these mechanical equipment trades is required with at least three years of commercial journey-level experience in the trade related to the area of assignment. An employee in this class may be assigned to Facilities Management (example: City Hall, Police Headquarters, and other City-owned properties), or Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities (PRCF) (example: Hohokam Stadium, Fitch Park Training Facility, etc.).
