Experienced Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on field experience, can interpret technical blueprints, and adheres strictly to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Install & Repair

Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems across residential, commercial, or industrial properties.

Troubleshoot: Perform effective electrical testing to diagnose malfunctions and hazards using appropriate testing devices (e.g., voltmeters, multimeters).

Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret complex electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

Compliance

Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code as well as state and local building regulations.

Maintenance

Perform preventative maintenance on electrical panels, circuit breakers, and transformers.

Customer Service

Communicate professionally with clients to establish job details, explain issues, and recommend safe, efficient solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

Licensure

Valid [State/City] Journeyman or Master Electrician license.

Experience

Minimum of 4-5 years of professional experience in commercial or residential electrical work.

Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program is required. Associate’s degree in electrical technology is a plus.

Physical & Technical Skills

: Demonstrable proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Physical stamina to lift/carry 50+ pounds and work on ladders, scaffolding, or in confined spaces.: OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour certification is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean record
