Duties

Major duties included but not limited to

Incumbent's work regularly involves installing, modifying, repairing, troubleshooting, loading and testing new and existing electrical lines, circuits, and complete systems, as well as parts of these systems, fixtures, controls and equipment. This includes 12,470 volt underground primary electrical distribution system, as well as secondary distribution lines and circuits used to supply a wide range of voltage, amperage, phase and frequency requirements, distribution panels, switchgear, power and control circuits, fire alarm and signal systems, etc.

In accordance with the goals of the VA Green Environmental Management System (GEMS) program, seeks to cost-effectively meet or exceed compliance with applicable Federal, state, and local environmental; public health; and resource protection laws, regulations, and VA requirements.
