This position is based in Section 42, Unit 072 – Plaquemine Marine Maintenance Unit of DOTD.

This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on barges, ferry vessels, and related facilities operated within the DOTD Ferry System. The incumbent must be self-motivated and capable of performing duties independently or with minimal supervision, while also applying sound judgment to resolve unforeseen electrical and operational issues. Participation in DOTD training programs and continuing education is required to maintain technical proficiency and ensure compliance with applicable standards, including U.S. Coast Guard regulations. Minimum Qualifications --------------------------
