Commercial Electrician -

Quality Electric of the Coastal Carolinas is seeking a motivated individual to join our Charleston, SC Team as a skilled Electrician. Quality Electric is one of the largest electrical contractors in South Carolina. Headquartered in the Charleston, area, we have offices in Columbia, Myrtle Beach and the Bluffton/Savannah area.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and applying blueprints and technical diagrams
• Installing commercial recessed lighting and fixtures
• Retrofitting outdated lighting with energy-efficient options
• Repairing and maintaining electrical panels
• Diagnosing and fixing problems in wiring or electrical components
• Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
• Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems in homes
• Adhering to state and local building regulations
• Documenting the work completed and materials used

General Requirements

• 3+ year experience in the electrical field – Commercial Electrical preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license with a 3-year clear driving record
• Troubleshooting skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task

Physical Requirements

• Ability to ascend/descend stairs and ladders
• Ability to move oneself in confined spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
