Electrician

Job Summary

The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. You will ensure that all electrical components and systems meet industry standards and safety regulations.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including motors, pumps, generators, switchgear, and wiring in oil and gas facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Conduct electrical testing and calibration of equipment using industry-standard tools.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, ensuring all work complies with industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, OSHA).
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to execute projects on time and within budget.
• Assist in the development and implementation of electrical safety procedures and work permits.
• Diagnose electrical problems and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and electrical inspections.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications in electrical work preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
• Valid electrician’s license or certification (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician) preferred.
• Proficiency with electrical tools, instruments, and testing equipment.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NEC, IEC, and OSHA.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
