Electrician

Ludlum Measurements, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The Electrician will install and maintain the electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in our facilities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

* Install and repair electrical wiring, systems and fixtures in facilities * Install conduits and pipe to house electrical wires and cables * Ensure piping complies with electrical codes * Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring to them * Connect electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the facilities * Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation * Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed * Replace conduit and wiring as needed * Replace circuit breakers as needed * Perform other related duties as assigned * Complete other duties as assigned or required.

Skills & Qualifications

* Ability to read blueprints and building designs * Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring * Ability to use hand tools and power tools * Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to follow directions * Excellent verbal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail * Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring * Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending and climbing ladders or scaffolding * Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time * High school diploma or equivalent required * In process or completion of a formal apprenticeship * Electrician’s license preferred
