Role Overview

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential and commercial settings. Ensures work complies with relevant codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Install wiring, outlets, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures according to blueprints and technical diagrams

* Set up electrical systems for new construction including panels, switches, and grounding systems

* Perform excavation and install underground conduit systems, to include man holes, pull boxes, cabling, etc.

* Inspect electrical systems, components, and wiring for hazards, defects, or compliance with codes

* Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning electrical equipment or systems

* Replace outdated or faulty electrical components to meet current standards or client requirements

* Upgrade systems to support new appliances, increased power loads, or energy-efficient technologies

* Adhere to all electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols

* Ensure proper grounding and electrical safety measures are in place

* Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and installations

* Prepare reports and update blueprints or technical diagrams as necessary

Required Skills and Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or repair; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license preferred

* Prior commercial electrical experience preferred
