Electrician

Position Summary

The Electrical Technician is responsible for assisting with inspecting, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, installing, and modifying electrical components and systems across all company facilities. The Electrical Technician is also responsible for maintaining electrical equipment and materials while ensuring all electrical work is completed following industry and best practices regarding safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with installing, maintaining, and enhancing electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
• Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
• Assist with performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
• Assist with connecting and disconnecting power for vessels as needed
• Repairing or replacing damaged electrical components such as cords and outlets as needed
• Maintaining proper documentation of the repairs and conditions of various electrical components including cords, outlets, heads, and panels
• Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards as directed
• Ensure electrical equipment is properly stored and maintained while not in use
• Communicate with and assist other departments as needed
• Stocks and assists in maintaining inventory of shop supplies, materials, tools and equipment
• Maintains clean, orderly and safe work areas; properly maintains assigned equipment and tools
• Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the immediate supervisor and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, etc.
• Following company, industry and best practices regarding safety standards (safe equipment usage, personal protective equipment, reporting)
