Electrical Technician - Single Family

IES Residential is hiring experienced Electrical Technicians to join our growing team! If you’re skilled in troubleshooting, take pride in your work, and enjoy helping homeowners, we want to hear from you.### What You’ll Do

• Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls in residential homes
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including panels, breakers, circuits, lighting, outlets, switches, and GFCIs
• Perform home warranty repairs and ensure customer satisfaction
• Work safely and in compliance with NEC and OSHA standards
• Communicate clearly with homeowners and service coordinators
• Complete service tickets with accurate documentation of work performed
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
• Identify opportunities to improve electrical systems and customer experience
• Perform other duties as assigned to support company operations

Minimum Education: None Minimum Years of Experience: 2-4 Specific Qualifications: ### What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of residential electrical service experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must pass background check and drug screening

### Preferred (Not Required)

• Journeyman Electrician License
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

### Work Environment

• Work in both occupied homes and new construction settings
• Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Active construction and residential environments (dust, noise, tight spaces)
• Frequent interaction with homeowners — professionalism is key

### Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Stand, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the day
