Electrical Apprentice

AC Smart Homes is hiring an Electrical Apprentice / Electrician Helper to assist our lead electrician on residential and commercial projects.

This is a hands-on position for someone who wants to learn, work hard, and grow in the electrical trade. The apprentice/helper will assist with rough-in, finish work, material handling, basic installations, cleanup, and job-site support under the direction of the main electrician.

Projects may include custom homes, remodels, restaurants, bars, clubs, office buildings, tenant improvements, smart home systems, lighting control, AV, security cameras, networking, and low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead electrician with residential and commercial electrical work
• Help with rough-in and finish electrical installations
• Pull wire, run conduit, install boxes, outlets, switches, lighting, and basic electrical devices
• Help install panels, subpanels, breakers, dedicated circuits, and lighting circuits under supervision
• Assist with smart home, AV, lighting control, camera, network, access control, and low-voltage wiring
• Carry, organize, and prepare materials, tools, and equipment
• Keep the job site clean, safe, and organized
• Follow instructions from the lead electrician and project manager
• Help troubleshoot basic electrical issues under supervision
• Read and follow simple plans, layouts, and job-site directions
• Follow safety rules, electrical code requirements, and company procedures
• Communicate job progress and issues clearly

Requirements

• Basic electrical experience preferred
• Willingness to learn and follow directions
• Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
• Able to work with tools and construction materials
• Able to lift materials, climb ladders, and work in attics, crawl spaces, ceilings, and active job-site conditions
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Basic hand tools preferred
