Commercial Service Electrician

Job Description

Summit Electric & Data is seeking a Journeyman-level Commercial Service Electrician with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team. This role primarily focuses on commercial service calls, lighting repairs, and electrical troubleshooting for facilities such as gyms, supermarkets, and restaurants.

A large portion of the work will involve lighting repairs, lighting system troubleshooting, and new lighting installations, along with general commercial electrical service work. The ideal candidate is dependable, experienced in diagnosing electrical issues, and comfortable working independently in active commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete commercial electrical service calls
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment
• Perform lighting repairs, retrofits, and new lighting installations
• Install, repair, and replace fixtures, drivers, ballasts, and lighting controls
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and minor electrical installations
• Work on electrical systems in gyms, supermarkets, restaurants, and other commercial facilities
• Ensure all work complies with NEC and local electrical codes
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Communicate professionally with customers and management
• Complete service reports and documentation as required

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical experience
• Journeyman electrician level experience or certification
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience working in operating commercial facilities
• Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Clean driving record (company truck will be provided)
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work from ladders when required

Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour
