Commercial Electrician

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Perform electrical installations according to local and national electrical codes (NEC)
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and malfunctions
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
• Test electrical systems to ensure proper functioning
• Provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to electrical systems

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial electrician
• Proficient in various aspects of electrical work, including but not limited to:
• Build and frame carpentry related to electrical installations
• Industrial electrician work in commercial settings
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Working with high voltage systems
• Using hand tools specific to the electrical trade

Skills

• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately
• Proficient in using hand tools specific to the electrical trade
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
