Apprentice Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team at Stratos Electric in Austin. This position is ideal for someone ready to learn the electrical trade while gaining hands-on experience. As an Apprentice Electrician, you'll work alongside experienced journeymen and master electricians who will provide training and guidance while you assist with electrical installations and repairs.

Responsibilities

* Assist journeymen and master electricians with installation of electrical systems

* Learn to read blueprints and technical diagrams under supervision

* Help with running conduit, pulling wire, and installing fixtures and devices

* Maintain a clean and safe work environment

* Transport materials and tools to and from job sites

* Perform basic electrical tasks as skills develop

* Attend any required apprenticeship classes or training

Skills & Requirements

* High school diploma or GED

* Basic understanding of electrical concepts (formal training or education preferred but not required)

* Willingness to learn and follow instructions

* Reliability and punctuality

* Basic math skills

* Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various conditions

* Valid driver's license

* Strong work ethic and positive attitude

* Safety-conscious mindset
