Apprentice Electrician

Huckleberry Electric is hiring a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our growing residential service and installation team. This role is ideal for someone who already has some electrical experience but wants to learn more about the electrical trade, work under experienced journeymen, and grow into a skilled service electrician over time.

We specialize in panel and service upgrades, EV charger installations, generator and battery backup systems, troubleshooting, and full or partial home rewires. We are looking for someone who takes pride in hard work, clean job sites, good communication, and showing up ready to learn every day.

Responsibilities

Assist journeyman electricians on residential service and installation jobs

Help with panel upgrades, service upgrades, and meter replacement projects

Assist with EV charger, generator, and battery backup installations

Help with full and partial home rewires

Pull wire, install boxes, drill holes, prep materials, and support rough-in and trim-out work

Keep trucks, tools, and job sites clean and organized

Follow safety procedures and company standards

Take quality job-site photos and assist with documentation in ServiceTitan

Communicate clearly with the lead electrician, office team, and customers when needed

Be willing to learn, take feedback, and improve each week

Qualifications

Active Washington State Electrical Trainee Card

1+ year of experience preferred but will consider at 6+ months.

Residential electrical experience preferred, but not required for the right person

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Ability to follow directions and work well with a journeyman or lead technician

Comfortable using basic hand tools and power tools

Reliable transportation to the shop or assigned meeting location

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred

Good communication skills and a positive attitude
