About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Traffic Technician / Electrician with hands-on experience in traffic signals, roadway lighting, and electrical systems. You’ll work on projects that directly impact safety and infrastructure across the valley.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair traffic signals and controllers
• Maintain street lighting, school flashers, and electrical systems
• Install and maintain fiber optic, ITS, and communication systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and plans
• Program and calibrate traffic controllers and warning systems
• Inspect, test, and document completed work
• Respond to emergency calls (rotating as needed)
• Follow all safety and work zone requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of electrical work experience required
• 2+ years of traffic signal and/or street lighting experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Nevada Driver’s License (clean driving record)
• Ability to obtain CDL Class B within 12 monthsCPR & First Aid Certification (within 1 year)
• IMSA Work Zone Safety (preferred at time of hire or able to obtain within 1 year)
• IMSA Level I Traffic Signal Technician (preferred at time of hire or able to obtain within 1 year)
• IMSA Roadway Lighting Level II (within 1 year)
• Journey-Level Electrician Certificate (within 1 year)
• Fiber Optic Certification (as needed)
• OSHA 30 Certification (within 1 year)
• NCCO Crane Certification (within 1 year)
• Flagman Certification (within 1 year)
• Forklift Certification (within 1 year)
