Residential Technology & Electrical Technician

Job Overview

We are a family-owned custom integration company specializing in luxury residential homes throughout the Charlotte, Lake Norman, and western North Carolina areas. Unlike production electrical work, every project is different. We design and install premium electrical, lighting, smart home, security, audio/video, networking, motorized shades, and home theater systems. We are looking for someone who wants more than just another job. We are looking for someone who wants to become a key member of our team and eventually lead projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Installing electrical systems in custom homes
• Set up and maintain home automation systems, including security cameras, and alarm systems.
• Perform fiber splicing and network installation to ensure reliable data connectivity throughout the residence.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute system setups.
• Install motorized window shade and window treatment systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and low-voltage systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, system configurations, and service reports for quality assurance.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain system functions, troubleshoot issues on-site, and provide excellent customer service throughout every interaction.
• Assist in training and mentoring helpers as responsibilities grow.
• Continue learning new technologies through company training and manufacturer certifications.

Experience (2 years on 2 or more. We can train you with the rest)

• Proven experience as a service technician in residential or commercial electrical or technology systems.
• Strong background in computer networking, data center experience preferred.
• Familiarity with low voltage wiring standards following NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with CCTV installation, fiber splicing, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6).
