General Job Description

IES Residential is currently seeking Residential Electrical Helper - Single Family for immediate hire in the Conroe, TX area.

### Key Responsibilities

• Assist electricians during rough-in by measuring, cutting, and bending wire using hand and power tools.
• Help install electrical components including outlets, lights, switches, and fixtures.
• Carry, hold, and organize materials required for completing projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Communicate effectively with team members and take direction from supervisors and licensed electricians.
• Promptly report any unsafe working conditions or incidents to the appropriate person.

Minimum Education: None Minimum Years of Experience: 0-2 Specific Qualifications: ### Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
• Basic problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership potential is a bonus.

### Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work in various locations as needed.
• Ability to pass all required safety training, background checks, and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

* Lift and carry 50–75 lbs. * Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods. * Work on ladders, in attics, basements, and confined spaces. * Use hand and power tools with good manual dexterity. * Tolerate heat, cold, dust, and other job-site conditions. * Pull and route electrical cable throughout the home. * Follow safety procedures and use required PPE.
