Based in Elk River, MN, JonnyPops develops, manufactures, distributes, and markets frozen novelties. Growing from a dorm-room start-up in 2012, our mission is to make “A Better Pop for a Better World!” — and we lead the frozen novelties space in innovation, using simple ingredients with no artificial dyes. Every pop stick includes a kind deed, spreading kindness every day.

Why This Role Exists

JonnyPops currently relies on outside electrical contractors for all permitted electrical work, inspection support, and emergency repairs. As we scale our Elk River facility — adding production capacity, commissioning the vision system across all lines, and operationalizing HTST — the volume and urgency of electrical work has grown beyond what an outside partner can reliably support at acceptable cost and speed.

This role brings licensed Master Electrician capability in-house, reducing third-party overhead, eliminating response-time dependencies, and enabling JonnyPops to self-perform permitted electrical work.

Job Summary

The Master Electrician is the licensed electrical authority for JonnyPops’ Elk River manufacturing facility. You will own all in-house electrical work from routine maintenance and preventive inspections to capital project support — pulling your own permits, supervising journeymen, and serving as the primary point of contact for electrical code compliance, AHJ inspections, and utility coordination.
