Maintenance Technicians are key players in our organization. These technicians ensure our customers receive quality products that are delivered on time by making sure our equipment operates correctly and efficiently. We are looking for motivated and qualified Maintenance Mechanics at our Carol Stream facility and willing to work off shifts. Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to safely maintain all equipment utilizing the planned preventative maintenance program, troubleshoot and solve equipment problems, prioritize the scheduled maintenance work around the daily production schedules, create an atmosphere and culture that drives toward an accident free workplace, utilize both excellent mechanical skills and electrical/electronic skills.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance on equipment, such as any servicing of conveyors, presses, stackers, etc.
• Read and understand mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams/schematics, AC/DC motors, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Troubleshoot, repair and install mechanical components, electrical controls, AC/DC motors, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, bearings, and power transmission.
• Perform fabrication of equipment (welding both arc and gas) to desired needs. Be able to make adjustments on equipment to improve productivity. Be able to identify and locate unusual sounds that indicate potential trouble. Be able to dismantle equipment to gain access to de...
