Maintenance Electrician

JOB OVERVIEW

This position consists of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all aspects of production & facility equipment, new equipment installations, good housekeeping, and maintaining established preventative maintenance programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Repair and maintain high speed filling, packaging, and support equipment.

2. Practice safe work habits. Follows proper lock out tag out procedures as required. Completes all OSHA required training as required and correct any unsafe conditions as necessary. Knowledgeable in OSHA laws and regulations.

3. Responds to calls from line supervisors or operators to repair equipment as needed.

4. Provides breaks to machine operators or runs equipment when needed.

5. Performs package change-overs on equipment as required.

6. Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.

7. Participates in daily meetings and reports maintenance department objectives and opportunities.

8. Installing/rebuilding various production or plant support equipment as needed.

9. Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems.

10. Develop preventative maintenance needs and requirements.

11. Perform pipefitting activities for water, air, or hydraulic systems.

12. Fabricate machine small parts, brackets, or guards as needed.

13. Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical problems in a timely manner.

14. Independently performs all assignments after being given general instructions as to the results expected.

15. Takes the lead and initiates resolution of technical, unusual or complex problems or issues.

16. Interact with the public and other employees in a positive manner and promote a cooperative working environment.

17. Coordinates several projects at the same time while prioritizing competing demands on time availability.
