Maintenance Electrician

OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and uptime of all plant electrical systems, automated equipment, and production machinery. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining industrial electrical and control systems to maximize equipment availability, minimize downtime, and support continuous production operations. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical components, including motors, VFDs, servo drives, servo motors, contactors, relays, transformers, and control circuits.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving PLC-controlled automation systems, electrical distribution systems, and machine controls.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on production equipment and plant infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC circuits, motor control centers (MCCs), electrical panels, and low- to medium-voltage systems.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical maintenance personnel to rapidly identify root causes and restore equipment to operational status.
• Complete work orders, PMs, and maintenance documentation accurately using CMMS software.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and equipment performance metrics.
• Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment, machinery, and automation systems.
• Assist Engineering with process improvements, equipment upgrades, control system modifications, and capital projects.
