Industrial Maintenance Electrician 2nd

, a global leader in the manufacturing of PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, belts, tapes and laminates in Petersburgh, NY is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Electrician for 2nd shift.

The Industrial Maintenance Electrician is responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of industrial facility equipment. This includes diagnosing problems and carrying out the repair which can be electrical, mechanical, plumbing or heating related.

Primary Duties

Adjust, repair or replace defective wiring and relays in ignition, lighting, air conditioning, and safety control systems, using electrician’s tools.
Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
Install new equipment including hook up of electrical power, gas, water, air, etc. and modify equipment as required.
Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
Operate metalworking machines to fabricate machine parts and fixtures.
Must be able to work OT which includes weekends.

Associates degree in Electrical Maintenance or related, or five years of equivalent electrical maintenance experience within an industrial setting is required. Must be able to read schematics and blueprints, as well as service and operate equipment. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, PLC ladder logic, and electrical is preferred. Must be able to use precision hand tools and volt/ohm meters. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Good interpersonal skills with ability to prioritize based on changing work conditions.
