Licensed Electrician (Maintenance) - Charlottesville, VA

Job Responsibilities

Performs electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance across both residential homes and apartments, as well as commercial buildings. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service. Inspects electrical connections, panels, and other electrical systems for compliance with local and national regulations. Performs preventative maintenance repairs on all systems. Oversees complex repairs and train staff to complete complex repairs on all electrical systems. Completes repairs/replacements of routine general maintenance items and light plumbing, drywall, and carpentry work as needed. ·

• Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for electrical systems, and other electrical materials
• Interpret existing building electrical wiring through visual inspections for best problem-solving practices
• Install fixtures such as lights, receptacles, communication devices, breaker panels and junction boxes
• Use saws and cutting equipment as necessary
• Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing electrical wiring
• Test electrical systems for shorts and other problems
• Analyze problems and identify appropriate tools and materials for repair
