Electrical Installations of Iowa (EII) is looking for an experienced Lead Residential Journeyman Electrician with an extensive background in residential remodeling.

This position is responsible for being

* A productive team member with the ability to lead and train helpers/apprentices, delivering a quality product, maintaining good customer relations with contractors and customers, along with project completion and project documentation.

Job Duties

• Productive team member with leadership abilities and a take charge attitude
• Estimate projects and change order items
• Communicate and coordinate bids with the contractor and customer
• Execute job successfully and to the customers liking
• Installation, testing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems including layout, rough-in, and trim of lighting, power, and low voltage systems
• Adherence to the National Electrical Code and any local amendments
• Diagnosis of malfunctioning systems, components, and equipment
• Inspection of systems and equipment to identify hazards and/or defects
• Commitment to all safety procedures and can identify and correct unsafe conditions
• Able to direct, manage, and instruct apprentices/helpers
• Complete all paperwork in a timely, neat and organized manner
• Keeps worksite, vehicles and tools clean and completes maintenance as needed
• Ability to read and interpret job drawings and schematics
