GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Performs a wide variety of complex duties to troubleshoot, maintain and repair instrument/electrical company manufacturing equipment and ensure failure prevention. Calibrates instrumentation equipment to maintain operating limits.

Works closely with engineers to determine equipment fault characteristics and makes recommendations on improvements. Follows planned preventive maintenance procedures and guidelines. Recommends further repairs or remedial actions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizes and applies standard and special purpose equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and equipment.
• Calibrates installs, inspects, tests, repairs, and rebuilds measuring and control devices in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• Troubleshoots instruments and equipment for defects. Corrects defects and ensures parts for conformity with specifications. Performs root cause analysis, communicates recommendations, and implements solutions that prevent reoccurrence.
