Lead Electrician – Emergency Power System Installations

is seeking an experienced Lead Electrician to lead residential and commercial generator installations throughout South Carolina. If you take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy working independently, and want to be part of a growing company, we'd like to talk with you.

Master Electrician preferred, but highly qualified Journeyman Electricians are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview

As a Lead Electrician, you will oversee and perform the installation of standby generators, transfer switches, electrical service upgrades, and related electrical systems. You will lead installation crews, ensure code compliance, and maintain the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Install residential and commercial standby generators
• Install and wire automatic and manual transfer switches
• Perform electrical service upgrades and panel modifications
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Lead and mentor apprentice and helper electricians
• Coordinate with customers, project managers, and inspectors
• Ensure all work complies with NEC and local codes
• Troubleshoot electrical systems as needed
• Complete job documentation and closeout reports
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite

QualificationsRequired

• Minimum 5 years of electrical installation experience
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical safety practices
• Experience installing electrical services, panels, feeders, and branch circuits
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors

Preferred

• Master Electrician License
• Generator installation experience
• Experience with Generac, Cummins, Kohler, CAT, MTU, or similar generator systems
• Supervisory or crew leadership experience
• CDL is a plus
