Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and be adept at working with high voltage equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to electrical installations, maintenance, and renovations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential settings
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
• Work with logic controllers for automation processes and high voltage systems as required.
• Perform renovations that may include frame carpentry related to electrical installations.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with high voltage equipment and logic controllers is a plus.
• Ability to use electrical testing tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
