Journeyman Electrician

Our Electrical Technicians are responsible for the operations, maintenance, and repair of facilities systems which includes UPS systems, central air handling units, exhaust systems, steam systems and air compressors at a world class chemical sciences research campus. Duties include Knowledge of working in a 480-volt industrial environment. Troubleshooting frequency drives, PLCs and motor control plus all aspects of monitoring, routine and emergency response. This position will be an integral member of the team to manage the daily, routine, and emergency operation of the facility to ensure 100% uptime of all systems. Experience with Siemens and/or Honeywell building automation systems is a plus. Knowledge of frequency drives and 4-20 or 0-10 control a plus as well as the ability to install, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment

Qualifications

* Two-year degree or trade school certificate in electrical or instrumentation * Five years minimum of industrial electrical experience in electrical install, calibrating, maintaining and repairing equipment. * Working knowledge of computers. * Required to be able to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams and specification manuals. * Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and lift heavy objects weighting up to 50 lbs. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment. *
