SCOPE OF WORK

:

Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the electrical construction industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Performs all electrical tasks with general supervision, possesses Journeyman license, has the ability to read blueprints, terminate cable, install and troubleshoot control wiring from drawing, is able to demonstrate experience factors exceeding an electrical helper and must be sufficient on rough-in work.

• Install feeders.
• Wire and conduit sizing.
• Switchgear and device installation and termination.
• Layout and preparation for installation.
• Underground layout and rough-in.
• Motors and controls – troubleshooting.
• Possess skills of lower job titles (Apprentice electrician).
• Fully comprehends Electrical theory and NFPA 70 National Electric Code.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

LICENSES

Current Driver’s License and have own transportation,

ELECTRICAL

Current Journeyman

EDUCATION

: High School Graduate, holder of G.E.D, or equivalent training.

EXPERIENCE

: Has 4 years 8000 hours of previous electrical experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

:

• Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year (heat, cold, rain, snow).
• Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).
• Job requires employees to have personal tools with them at all times (waist tool belt as worn – weighs approximately 30 lbs.) as required.
• Work from all types of ladders (step ladders up to 14’, “A” frame ladders and all sizes of extension ladders and carry and relocate up to 12’ step ladder by oneself).
• Employee’s personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed the weight limit of the ladder (Class 1-250 lbs., Class 1A-300 lbs.)
• Perform work at various heights (up to 90’) from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, or other areas.
