Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

The Electrical Journeyman is a skilled professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Electrical Journeyman will interpret blueprints, troubleshoot electrical issues, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

* Installation:

+ Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. + Ensure that all installations are in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. + Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install conduit and electrical conductors. + Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. * Troubleshooting & Repair:

+ Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools. + Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure code compliance. * Maintenance:

+ Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. + Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure proper functioning. * Safety & Compliance:

+ Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices. + Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. + Identify and report potential electrical hazards. * Blueprint Interpretation:

+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layouts of electrical systems. * Teamwork & Supervision:
