We currently have an opening for a Journeyman Electrician Grand Junction, CO for FEDERAL Government projects primarily at the Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals.

Job Summary

Hawk Contracting Group is currently seeking qualified applicants for an Journeyman Electrician position based in Grand Junction, CO. This position will be responsible for monitoring new Electrical construction and renovations in VA Medical Facilities. The Electrician is responsible for ensuring work is performed according to company standards and the project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
• Inspect electrical components, identify issues, and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure longevity and prevent breakdowns.
• Test electrical systems and components using tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe jobsite always.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid State of Colorado journeyman electrician license.
• Proven experience as an electrician in a similar role.
• At least 3-4 years as an experienced Electrician.
