Position Summary

Victory Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team on commercial construction projects throughout the San Antonio area.

This is a temporary, project-based 1099 independent contractor position. The Journeyman Electrician will perform commercial electrical installations while leading apprentices, maintaining quality workmanship, and ensuring all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and project specifications.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, leads by example, communicates professionally, and represents Victory Electrical Services with excellence both on and off the jobsite.

Responsibilities

Install commercial electrical systems in accordance with project plans, specifications, and NEC requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, and electrical drawings.
Lead and mentor apprentices while maintaining a productive, positive work environment.
Delegate daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Install conduit (EMT, PVC, and rigid), wire, lighting systems, panels, switchgear, and electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve field issues.
Coordinate with the Foreman and Project Manager regarding project progress and material needs.
Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites.
Ensure all work meets company quality standards and passes inspection.
Follow all OSHA safety regulations and Victory Electrical Services safety policies.
Assist in identifying unforeseen conditions and potential change orders.
Participate in company marketing by recording jobsite progress, electrical installations, educational content, and team accomplishments for Victory Electrical Services’ social media platforms, including TikTok. Candidates should be comfortable appearing on camera and professionally representing the company online.

Minimum Qualifications

Journeyman Electrician License (Required)
Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical experience
Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Ability to read and interpret commercial construction plans and specifications.
Proven ability to lead and mentor apprentices on commercial projects.
Experience installing commercial electrical systems from rough-in through final trim.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and basic construction technology.
Comfortable creating and participating in social media video content as part of the company’s marketing strategy.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Skills

Experience with ground-up commercial construction and tenant finish projects.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience coordinating with inspectors, general contractors, and other trades.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification (Preferred).
