Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across diverse settings, including commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure all work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, contributing to safe and efficient electrical operations. Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical schematics to execute precise installations and repairs.
• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system work in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions while adhering to electrical safety procedures.
• Work on construction sites, renovation projects, or maintenance environments, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components for industrial applications.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople such as frame carpenters or handyman staff to coordinate installation activities efficiently.

Experience

• Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial or commercial electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Experience working with high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems in construction or renovation settings.
