Journeyman Electrician

Duties and Responsibilities

* Electrician Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and lighting systems including breaker panels, motor controls, transformers, cable systems, and control systems. * Perform maintenance on battery-powered emergency lights, and fan motors. * Help coordinate the movement of material to work locations. * Supervise apprentices teaching basic electrical skills. * Assemble Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, lighting systems, equipment, appliances, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. * Inspect transformers circuit breakers and other electrical components. * Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices. * Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures. * Circuit breaker corrective maintenance. * Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. * Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

Education/ Experience Requirements

* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * Delaware electrical license. * Previous residential electrical experience preferred. * Must know how to read technical diagrams and blueprints. * Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems. * Good knowledge of various test equipment. * Know National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
