Position Overview

Chapman Electrical Contracting, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical work and be capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
• Install conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, switches, outlets, and control systems
• Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and repair systems efficiently
• Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards
• Coordinate with project managers, apprentices, and other trades on job sites
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Complete service calls and project tasks in a timely and professional manner
• Train and mentor apprentices when needed

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license
• Minimum 3–5 years of electrical experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and NEC code requirements
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
• Experience with commercial and residential projects preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in various environments
