Journeyman Electrician

Position Summary

The Journeyman Electrician will perform residential, commercial, and service work, including installations, repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and project support. This position requires a well-rounded electrician who can work independently when needed while also contributing as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in residential and commercial settings
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and accurately
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
• Install and service panels, circuits, lighting, controls, and electrical equipment
• Ensure all work complies with applicable codes and safety standards
• Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
• Support and help develop apprentices
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in residential, commercial, and service work
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of current electrical codes and industry standards
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications
• Comfortable working with technology to manage work processes
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
