Industrial Electrician

Weyerhaeuser Company is accepting applications for Industrial Electricians for our Idabel, Oklahoma Lumber facility. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility.

Key Functions

* Performs highly skilled electrical maintenance tasks including installation and repair of electrical machinery and instrumentation of controls throughout the plant. * Installation of electrical equipment, motors, starters, variable frequency drives and PLCs in accordance with applicable electrical codes. * Repair of electrical tools and equipment including power tools and test equipment. * Performs preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting on AC and DC motors, drives, and control systems. PM as required on other electro-mechanical components (brakes, clutches, solenoids, etc.). * Calibrate instruments, sensors, chart recorders, etc. * Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software associated with all distributed discrete microprocessor-based systems within the plant. * Follow and adhere to safety lockout procedures and strictly adhere to plant safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications* All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. * Prefer five (5) years of electrical maintenance work experience and/or educational history. * Full knowledge of electrical codes. * Must be proficient in the programming, installation, and troubleshooting of all PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers). * Experienced in all phases of plant electrical equipment repair. * Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives, 3-Phase 480 Volt AC motors and starters, 24 Volt DC and 120 Volt AC control circuits. * Knowledge of closed loop process control systems. * Must have Microsoft Office skills. * Resume detailing education and work history. * Steady, documented work history. * Eligible to work i...
