Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the incumbent performs electrical repairs, installations, inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical lines, machinery and equipment on the mine site while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair AC/DC drive systems, AC/DC motors, electrical shovel, electrical power distribution, protection systems, metering, PLC’s, and lighting systems.
• Computer manuals - Create and research existing work orders in JDE. Read, comprehend, and interpret instrumentation data sheets, schematics, P&IDs, blueprints, and instructional guides. Demonstrate basic knowledge of computers. Demonstrate the ability to load and run equipment-specific software. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & Power point). Use JDE to procure parts from the warehouse and review and enter equipment history.
