Your Job

Our Georgia-Pacific Industrial Plasters facility located in Blue Rapids, Kansas is seeking motivated, safety-oriented individuals to join our Maintenance team as an Industrial Electrician. As an Electrician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our facility. This position adds value by identifying and correcting electrical issues before they lead to equipment failure or production downtime. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and completing both scheduled and emergency repairs on plant equipment, machinery, and electrical systems that support the mining and processing of gypsum into specialty, agricultural, and building products.

Shift

Rotating 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Shift placement will be determined based on business needs at the time of hire. Candidates must be able to work any shift, including holidays, weekends, overtime, and be available for on-call responsibilities as needed.

Compensation

Starting pay begins at $33.60 per hour. We're also offering a $5,000 sign on bonus!

What You Will Do

• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic equipment, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
• Performing routine and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery internal and external to the plant and Inspecting equipment for potential downtime causes
• Installing new equipment
• Recording maintenance and repairs in a computerized maintenance management system (MP2 / SAP) and completing reports and work orders on time to keep accurate records
• Collaborating with operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs
• Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures including performing proper lockout/tag out procedures and actively participating in the safety program
