Industrial Electrician (2nd Shift)

Summary

The Maintenance Electrician will support production by redesigning, modifying, repairing and installing electrical equipment in a fast-paced, high quality pet food manufacturing facility. Requires knowledge of electrical control systems whether PLC based or simple relay logic.

2nd Shift Hours are 2:00 pm to midnight

***OT is about 10 hours a week consistently, it varies but more often is staying later for extra hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management and deemed necessary from time to time.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on existing equipment as they arise.
• The ability to troubleshoot control circuits and components using a meter.
• Utilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, schematics, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting.
• Familiar with PLC’s, VFD’s.
• The ability to program VFD’s manually via keypad as needed.
• Maintain documentation of electrical schematics, and programs.
• Experience installing conduit (EMT, IMC), a plus.
• Experience using software and hardware needed to troubleshoot components running on Allen Bradley platforms, a plus.
• Technical on the job training available.
• Safety conscious always.

Education and/or Experience

* Electrical Experience 3 years (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
