Facilities Electrical Technician

Purpose of the role

The Facilities Electrical Technician is a hands-on technical role responsible for providing electrical support for facilities infrastructure, utilities, and building systems across the JTI Leaf Services complexes. This role focuses on preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical systems supporting buildings, utilities, and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Working under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the technician collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain business continuity and compliance, while also performing other maintenance-related or general business activities as assigned, within the scope of the employee’s capabilities.

Main Areas of Responsibilties

Facilities Electrical Maintenance

Provide preventative and corrective maintenance for facility electrical systems, including lighting, panels, wiring, building systems, and support equipment. Ensure completion of work orders in SAP, including documentation of labor, parts, and corrective actions.

Utilities & Infrastructure Support

Maintain and support electrical components of critical utilities, including: Power distribution systems, HVAC electrical controls, Air compressors, boilers, and utility systems. Building Management Systems (BMS), where applicable. Ensure continuity of electrical supply to production, warehouses, and office areas.
