Position Summary

Thompson Electric is seeking a dependable and motivated Electrical Field Technician I to support industrial and commercial electrical projects. This entry-level role works under the guidance of experienced electricians and field leaders to assist with installations, material preparation, equipment setup, and job site organization. The position offers hands-on experience and opportunities to develop the foundational skills necessary for long-term growth within the electrical trade.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of conduit systems, including measuring, cutting, and preparing materials.
• Support cable and wire pulling activities using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Help stage, transport, and position electrical equipment and materials at job sites.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory to ensure work areas remain organized and productive.
• Perform general labor duties associated with industrial and commercial electrical projects.
• Observe and comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Learn basic electrical concepts, industry terminology, and job site processes through on-the-job training.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project needs and task completion.
